Remote Camera Cables

Using a remote camera lets you explore creativity and expand photographic coverage in unique ways. On location, remote cameras can be where you physically can't. Get shots no one else can by firing a remote camera at the same time you fire your main body. Two images, two perspectives, one photographer! In the studio, get out from behind the lens and really connect with your subjects.

Sony cameras’ multi/micro USB (sometimes called multi-terminal, multi-interface, multiport or VPR1) connection can be used to trigger the camera, supply power to the camera and power on and off the camera. We have created 2 cables to connect Sony cameras to PocketWizard radios that support different remote functions.

Note: Due to the specialized connection, not all functions are available with all PocketWizard radios. Please see compatibility for each product below the description.

Flash Sync Cables

When using a remote flash, you can either trigger the flash through the hot shoe or a sync port on the flash.

PC cable

If the flash has a PC port, you can use our PC to miniphone cables. They are available in 3 lengths: PC1N (1' straight), PC3N (3' coiled), or PC5N (5' coiled).

Specifications: 1/8" (3.5mm) mono miniphone to locking PC male

HSFM3 cable

If the flash does not have a PC sync port, you can use our HSFM3 cable. This will trigger the flash through the hot shoe center pin and is specially designed to fit the longer Sony flash hot shoe in addition to standard hot shoes. It will not provide TTL. NOTE: Will not work with flashes that cannot be triggered by the center pin, including most Sigma models and some Nissin models. Check with the manufacturer if you are unsure if your flash can be triggered via the center pin.

Specifications: 1/8" (3.5mm) mono miniphone to standard hot shoe female
